Why Np Paul Scene in AHDN?

The other three get their spotlight scenes in A Hard Day's night. But no Paul scene. Such a scene was filmed but supposedly dropped because it conflicted with the pacing of the film...I wonder why they didn't try and come up with a shorter scene that worked better instead of just dropping the Paul scene altogether?
The footage is long gone now.. You can find the script for the scene online but that's it...Followup Messages:
