*************If you believe 'Not Guilty' was more deserving of a place on the White Album than some tracks which made it, what would you remove to make way for 'Not Guilty'?
*************
*************
*************Because I have a strong suspicion that "Revolution Number 9' would be the obvious choice for many, let's make that off-limits just for fun...
*************
*************So what goes off?
************
************It;s better then savoy truffle...

***********
***********No question that Truffle is my least favorite Harrisong on the album... I mean, it's fun and I dig the horns...'Not Guilty' certainly has more depth than a tune about a box of chocolates though... But the message hit too close to home I suppose...

**********Just take out enough Soccer game chanting, and it's in!

********* Obviously most people would say get rid of Revolution #9. But if we couldn't pick out that one then I'd say either get rid of Wild Honey Pie, Savoy Truffle, or Cry Baby Cry and put Not Guilty in. And I do like Savoy Truffle and Cry Baby Cry but they are still to me two of the weaker White Album tracks. I know some might say get rid of Honey Pie. But I personally like it even if it is Paul doing his so called granny music.

********
******** I expected the choices would likely be 'Honey Pie' and 'Don't Pass Me By'...
*******
*******My vote would be Why Don't We Do It In The Road
*******
******
******I think, in all fairness, it would have to be one of George's songs, so SAVOY TRUFFLE would be my choice.
*****
***** Good point that it probably would've replaced another George song. And like one previous poster said maybe Not Guility wasn't included because it hit too close to home.
****
****
****I think it would have been quite fair if George was granted five or even six tracks... With five, that still leaves 12 for John, 12 for Paul, and one Ringo composition...
****
****What if we had 'Not Guilty' and a full-fledged studio version of 'Sour Milk Sea"?*
***
***whatever you do - leave Cry Baby Cry on there - one of my favorites.....
***
***
*** It isn't even in the running as far as I'm concerned...

* I think George obviously benefited the most from the break up. Because by the end he was probably writing close to or just as many of the number of songs that John and Paul were.
*
* Getting back to Not Guilty though I find it interesting how it initially was a pissed off sounding hard rocker and then when George rerecorded it about a decade later it was pretty mellow. But I guess that was because his self titled album was pretty mellow sounding overall. Although it's still a very good album.

Yeah...I found the solo version decent but I recall being blown away hearing the 1968 original for the first time on a bootleg...
