*A controversial, iconic figure, Yoko Ono is today regarded as a multi-media innovator. At 80, she remains an adventurous and committed conceptual artist and musician, celebrated internationally. In a rare conversation with Eleanor Wachtel, she talks about her traditional, privileged upbringing in Japan, harshly interrupted by World War II, and the spirit of creative experimentation that informs her work in all its variety.

*There's a 'Listen' button in the article page

She's cool, still, (except the times in the studio)..what was that about?

Anyway, she was nice to me in giving me permission to release my John Lennon tribute song. I did that out of respect to her. I was told no one else every did that. ??? I talked with her personal secretary on the phone when she called, after getting my request letter. She asked a few questions, and I could tell I was on speaker phone. After a few moments after the questions, I was told Yoko approves of the song and my releasing it to commercial radio. It then got placed on Kal Rudman's Top 200 potential Hits Music Industry Newsletter. (FMQB). His "Friday Morning Quarterback" publication sent to all radio stations. It was placed at 176 of something like that. Went to 122 I think. But without proper radio promotion, it just got played on small stations around the US. Just a few sales, as distribution was not handled right, being it was just my label, with my cowriter. NOT business people.

But Yeah,,,Yoko is something! (80)! A great, youthful spirit of Love and Art. Thanks for that link!
